Mukand Limited, a Bajaj group company is a leading manufacturer of specialty steel long products and heavy machinery in India. Incorporated in the year 1937, the company has two divisions namely Steel and Industrial Machinery. The Steel division manufactures specialty steel long products in the form of wire rods, bars, wires and bright bars that feed into the automobile and engineering industries. The Industrial Machinery Division designs, manufactures, assembles and commissions heavy-duty cranes, bulk material handling equipment, process plant machinery and turnkey projects. Mukand produces Alloy Steel from its facility in Hospet, Karnataka and Stainless Steel from its facility in Thane, Maharashtra.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare Conceptual design of spur/helical/bevel/worm gear box based on AGMA and DIN standards
- Prepare gear box assembly drawing based on KISSsoft software
- Design & prepare detailed manufacturing drawings of gears, pinions and shafts by selecting suitable material & heat treatment
- Conceptualize the casing drawing and prepare manufacturing drawing of same.
- Create the catalogue for standard helical gear box based on KISSsoft software at par with gear box available in the market.
- Calculations related to gear life & strength
- Preparing bearing life calculations & structural calculations of gearbox casing
Position Requirements:
- Candidates should have a minimum 5+ years of experience in the Gear Box Design
- They should hold an Engineering degree (Mechanical) is required. Masters in Mechanical Engineering would be an added advantage.
Key Skills
- Conversant with latest versions of Autocad, Solidworks & Inventor Software.
- Expert in KISSsoft design software
