Mukand Limited, a Bajaj group company is a leading manufacturer of specialty steel long products and heavy machinery in India, with a turnover of over Rs 5,000 Crore. Incorporated in the year 1937, the company has two divisions namely Steel and Industrial Machinery. The Steel division manufactures specialty steel long products in the form of Wire Rods, Bars, Wires and Bright Bars that feed into the automobile and engineering industries. The Industrial Machinery Division designs, manufactures, assembles and commissions heavy-duty cranes, bulk material handling equipment, process plant machinery and turnkey projects. Mukand produces Alloy Steel from its facility in Hospet, Karnataka and Stainless Steel from its facility in Thane, Maharashtra.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide support in responding to direct and indirect enquiries
- Prepare order quotations for both standard and non-standard products
- Create commercial offers, including price, payment terms, quantity, delivery terms, and scheduling
- Maintain communication with customer to give periodic order status
- Coordinate with Manufacturing teams on feasibility reviews and risk analyses for new products/revised specifications
- Engage with customers in case of issues / complaints to resolve them within timelines and escalate any major issues internally
- Conduct planning and monitoring of dispatches and book debts
- Gather customer feedback and highlight improvement areas internally
- Release sale orders in SAP according to customer schedules
- Issue delivery order, check invoicing and monitor incoming payments including advance payment or after dispatch
- Collate data and prepare MIS reports
- Coordinate with internal teams including manufacturing, design, quality and planning to ensure completion of orders within required timelines
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of experience with experience in sales, preferably in heavy equipment manufacturing industry
